Hello! We are the Aucoins, James and Sharilynn, from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Traveling
has always been a joy to us, and now that we have discovered timeshare travel, we have become “timeshare junkies!”
Both of us are retired and enjoy experiencing different places, animals, cultures, foods, and especially people.
When we started using timeshares, it was on a smaller scale than what we do now. After visiting
a place we particularly enjoyed, we would look for a way to purchase a timeshare there. We used both developer and secondary
markets and eventually found ourselves with 40 timeshares! Since we cannot be gone from our “home base” ALL the
time, we have to be creative in using them. We trade, rent, use several at a time for family reunions, give some to charity,
etc.
Our collection of timeshares extends across the country, from Florida
to Montana, Maine to California, Louisiana, and the Ozarks. Also, we own at two places in Canada, both accessible to the beautiful
Canadian Rockies. Most of our holdings are flexible use times; a few are fixed weeks. We have sizes from studio to three-bedroom
lock-offs. We are members of both Interval International (II) and Resort Condominiums International (RCI), as well as the smaller Escapes! network.
On this website we give information on the various places at which we own timeshares. Where applicable, we also
include photographs and/or rental information. When we rent a timeshare, we do so at rates which are considerably better than
one could find by renting directly from the resort. For one thing, our rates do not have added taxes or surtaxes. In most
cases, we are simply trying to recoup our actual expenses.
